Looking for a way to wind down, destress and bring some balance into your day? What if I told you that there is a deeply restorative practice that helps promote both physical and mental wellbeing?
Comfort is the ultimate intention - once your body relaxes, the mind follows suit. You will recline on supportive blankets and yoga pillows in comfortable, slow-moving positions. Although it may seem that you are "doing" nothing on the outside, on the inside your body's "rest and digest" nervous system will be fully engaged as you snuggle into your cozy supports, the profound effects of restoration and relaxation take hold.
Relaxation is much like training a muscle and we can build our ability to relax by practicing - aided by the postures we will melt into. We might not have full control over all the challenges that come our way but there are certain restorative practices that we can use to give our body and mind what it needs.
To encourage even more serenity, Reiki energy will gently be directed to flow through Teresa's hands at the beginning of the session (through touch or distance to your comfort preferences). The concept of Reiki stems from a combination of words: "Rei" referring to soul or spirit, while "Ki" signifies life force. This spiritual energy is said to help bring balance, restore healthiness and unify your wellbeing for a lasting impact.
